Nicki Minaj made her way to the top by appearing on several songs as a featured artist. She is now a female rapper whose ambitions are to show that rap game can be also dominated by women. She is often compared to rival Lil' Kim who was in the game well before her. Lil' Kim is angry at Nicki Minaj since Nicki has never paid any hommage to Lil' Kim nor citing her as one of her influences although Nicki obviously borrows some elements that made Kim's success, such as attitude, clothes, wigs, etc.
